Copper Weather Vanes Look Great on Wood Garden Sheds
January 24, 2008
Nothing says classy like copper weather vanes on a wooden garden shed. The fact is this. Theyonly get better and better with time. As time passes by, they turn color from a burnt orange to a beautiful country green from the tarnish. They last forever and will give you a real sense of pride. I especially like the animal vanes because they are traditional. In a country setting the rooster looks great. Other places the eagle. Whatever your preference, it is simply a good chose. Look at this one from Yardiac.com

Herb Gardening From Your Backyard Shed
January 24, 2008
Herb gardening is a neat little niche, that many do not even think about. Oh sure, you see herbs being sold in the grocery stores, but did you know that they can easily be grown in your backyard? Think about how great it would be to harvest your own oregano, and then make spaghetti that very night!
A Few Examples of Exotic Herbs to Grow In Backyard
The herbs are not limited to just the ones that commonly hear about in the grocery stores. For instance, did you know that there is a grass that smells like vanilla? Vanilla grass is very fragrant! Hey, if nothing else in each is used to grow weeds in the garden that is so hold hard to hoe! When vanilla grass is mowed it smells just like vanilla ice cream!
Another interesting herb is the tomatillo. The tomatillo is used in salsas. This neat little fruit is encapsulated in a thin husk and loose like a green tomato inside.
Ever heard of a flower that you can eat? Nasturtiums are very nice to eat straight from the garden and are slightly lemony/peppery tasting! Wonderful addition to any herb garden.

We highly recommend the site of http://www.sandmountainherbs.com/ Larry Chandler is a very nice guy who will help you get your first herb garden off the ground. Email or call him. Look at the site and order! Lots of herbs to choose from. In fact, they have over 400 varieties of hard to find herbs. Many are medicinal herbs.
